Windows 7 Student Offer
As many people know (by now), Microsoft is doing a special promotion for students on Windows 7. What some people may not have known, is that it has now made its way to the UK.
I just pre-ordered my own copy of Windows 7 for £30 – Professional, not Home Premium. Apparently they are giving some leeway for the Home Premium users! To those who are able to run 64 bit (most of you), I’d recommend getting it – as well as checking the box which allows you to download it again at any time as it only costs £4 extra.
The offer is valid until January 1st, so there’s no big rush, but I recommend pre-ordering yours now, so that you can get the upgrade out of the way early and (if you’re not already) experience the benefits of running the new OS.
As a side note: unless you want to stick with the 2007 version for a while, and don’t really mind, I would wait until Office 2010 comes out instead of buying the one offered in the promotion.
